Groundbreaking designers Maria Giudice and Christopher Ireland—armed with insights from some of today’s top minds in business, tech, and social justice—offer a pragmatic, people-centered approach to change.
About the Authors
Maria Giudice
Maria Giudice and Christopher Ireland have been friends and collaborators for over 20 years. They bonded over the shared joys and stresses of being female CEOs in Silicon Valley. Their collaborations in teaching and writing grew out of a shared perspective that design could lead change if it was used as a guiding principle and not simply a tool or process—an idea they initially explored in their first book, Rise of the DEO.
Their careers followed parallel paths: after selling Hot Studio to Facebook, Maria moved on to lead design at Autodesk and then to a second career coaching design-driven leaders. After selling Cheskin to WPP, Christopher moved on to teaching in the MFA program at California College of the Arts, and then at Stanford in their Continuing Studies program. Maria and Christopher continue to collaborate in leading workshops, teaching leadership courses, and sharing the hard-earned experience.
